I just can't let the season go by without making some gifts from scratch. It's in my bones...a remnant from my previous life when I could sit and knit from seven until ten every evening and all day on Sunday. I have decided to make a few quick, inexpensive gifts for coworkers mainly because I cannot afford to purchase anything from the stores this year. All of these handmade presents must be finished by December 18 before school vacations begin. I have not even cast on the first stitch, so I am planning an all night knit-in this weekend. Wish me luck!
Wishing you luck :-)
ReplyDeleteCool you are making gifts from scratch!
Fun! Jealous! I love knitting. I wish I knew what the heck I was doing though. I've made a scarf and one sock which didn't turn out right so I didn't even bother with the second one. I love it though.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to do a gift from scratch, what I don't envy is your lack of time. These days (or nights, rather) all I want is to sleep. Good luck! Show us your knits when you are done!
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of my teacher and closet friend! I am so thankful you have taught me this skill! I have so far 25 people who better be happy for it! LOL
