Twin Tuesdays

This spring I will be showing our family spirit with Twin Tuesdays.  We have school spirit week at work.  The students can dress as the twin of one of their peers. So why not adapt the idea for use here at home?  People have given the boys many matching shirts (okay, I bought a bunch too).   I have plenty of outfits from which to choose.   I won't publish a post every week--that would get rather boring--but I do plan on dressing the boys in identical shirts each Tueday.  Since I gather and prepare five days worth of outfits on Sunday nights, this will just be one more way of organizing their weekly wardrobe.

You are probably thinking, how long are the boys going to let her do this?  Me too.  Though I have to say, with the exception of his character hoodies (Thomas, Lightening McQueen, Woody and Buzz) Henry takes little interest in what he is wearing.  I might be able to get away with this for a few more years.

The photo above is actually from Easter Sunday.  We had beautiful weather for most of the day.  (The thunderstorms waited until evening and then kept Henry awake and frightened until 9.)  Earlier, the Easter Bunny brought Henry and Liam several filled baskets.  The boys really enjoyed all their treats.  We'll be eating chocolate eggs and bunnies for weeks to come.  But, oh, don't get any on your shirts, boys!  Who am I kidding?  The most I can hope for are matching stains...

  1. That is a cute idea. I could definitely do the same thing with the matching outfits/shirts we have. Too fun!

  2. What an adorable idea! Of course, with gorgeous subjects like the boys, you can't go wrong, either. I can't wait to see their outfits in this spring and summer!

  6. One year Aunt Elsie bought Cousin Susie (older than your mom), Your mom (my big sister), and me identical dresses. I remember them well. They were a good brand. They endured. The result: my elementary teachers thought that I wasn't growing. I had the same lavendar dress all the way through 6th grade.
