Ten Things Few People Know About Me

  • I haven't been to a movie theater since 2006.
  • I often forget to wash my children's hands before they eat.
  • I didn't get my driver's license until I was 24.
  • I take pictures of my kids watching tv.
  • My children's hotdogs must be kosher and their apples must be organic.
  • I have never seen any prequel, sequel or the original Star Wars.
  • Despite my best intentions, Henry has had several dinners that consisted solely of Bugles and freezer pops.
  • I only let my children wear t-shirts during the months May through September.  Even then, I prefer shirts with collars.  They're boys, not hobos.
  • I taught myself to knit and play piano from a book.  (Not the same book though)
  • I am giving away a free book.  Want to know more?   Click GIVEAWAY on the sidebar!

  1. WAIT A SECOND, YOU HAVEN'T SEEN STAR WARS?!?!?!?!?! You have to see it! Unless you are totally opposed to seeing it...I have to say that I watched the first three that were made when I was a kid. Then I went to see the more recent three as they were made and I balled my eyes out when I finally saw the last one. It is one of the most truly epic love stories I have ever experienced. But if you are anti-sci-fi flicks than it's okay, but I totally love the series and think it's worth watching.

Maybe we should tackle the movie situation first...or, do you just not want to see movies??? If you're happy not seeing movies in the theater that's one thing...but if you want to go a theater and just haven't then that's another thing. LMK, I'll so go with you if you need someone to go with!

  3. Wow! Your kids eat hot dogs?! My kids won't touch them. One doesn't like the skin on his apples. Yikes!

  4. Though I did go and see a film with my mother and sister a few months ago (Julie and Julia), it was years since I've been to the movie theatre! I do very much want to go and see a film (no specific film in mind) before giving birth..

And teaching yourself from a book.. way to go!!
