I'm so far behind, I think I just lapped myself

One of my goals for the upcoming cold, dark winter evenings is to tackle the pages and pages of ideas I have for the piles and piles of photos I want to place in my sons' scrapbooks.  I'd say I'm two to three years behind.  Seriously.  Suddenly I feel much better about being only a couple of weeks behind in blogging about our fall weekends.

For this post, I'll let the photos tell the story of our first NASCAR race.  We had great seats and wonderful weather--I'm so glad we shared this as a family!

strategizing for turn 3

What?  Too much sugar?  I can't hear you....

This is getting exciting!
Will he pass the lead car in the straightaway?
and Kyle Busch gets the checkered flag

  3. Wow! Looks like a fun day! As far as photos stacking up... I did a Shutterfly book for Sidekick's first year of life. I try to upload photos to it every month, so that at the end of his second year, it's ready to print. Each year it will start on his birthday. It gets overwhelming, and this is the only way I can stay on top of it. Plus, I'm not really good at taking pictures. : )

  4. I love the caption that goes with the cotton candy photo even more than I love the photo itself. :) And I hear you about being behind in everything... blogging, photo organization, etc. I've just decided the blog is enough and I can use blurb or blog2print to make "scrapbooks" at some point in the future when I have spare money laying around... which means never. What were we thinking when we had two?! I tell you what we were thinking... how great it would be for them t have each other. And THAT does make it all worth it and they can spend their lifetimes talking about and remembering all these great things together... whether they have photos or scrapbooks or not. Better to have the memories and no photos than photos of nothing much. :)

Glad to hear you all had a great time at the NASCAR race!
